Hood Nerds Youth Inc. , The Minneapolis Urban League , The North Community Teen Enrichment Center, Madd Dads and other community members present STOP THE MADNESS LOCK IN YOUTH RALLY

This event is designed to embrace our youth, ALL of them , and discuss the recent violence and hear the youth in this community’s voices the way they want to be heard.

We will address these issues in the way OUR YOUTH decide with fun, games, workshops, music , dance and more

Hood Nerds is Seeking Youth Ambassadors For the 2010 School Year

How can you become a Hood Nerd Ambassador for your school?

To become a Hood Nerd’s Ambassador for your school, you MUST:

1. Submit 2 letters of recommendation from members of your community.

2. Submit a copy of good academic standing from a school counselor.

3. Submit a photo of yourself in your best Hood Nerd style!

4.  Submit a YouTube link of yourself representing Hood Nerds to the best of your ability (singing, dancing, speaking)

5.  You will have to sign the Hood Nerds Pledge:

a.  Commit to impact positive change in your school and community through, public speaking, being a positive role model, working hard and having fun through dance, fashion and music

b.  Commit that you will strive to reach out to your local media and social media on behalf of Hood Nerds and tell the world about our Hood Nerds, also constantly reaffirm the Hood Nerds mission that Hood Nerds “United” are smart students who earn good grades. Hood Nerds are committed to being leaders, remain drug and crime free and have definite plans to go to college.
